To extend the life of your automatic coffee machine, JURA has developed a 2-phase descaling tablet that gently removes limescale while caring for the machine.
2-phase descaling
The descaling tablet with optimised dissolution time, specially designed for JURA automatic coffee machines, ensures a clean, effective and particularly long-lasting descaling process.
The descaling cycle is now carried out in two phases:
• First phase: thoroughly removes all limescale residues from the coffee machine.
• Second phase: impregnates the fluid circuit with a protective film and provides long-term protection for the pipes and thermoblock against corrosion.

Limescale: a source of breakdowns and a destroyer of taste
Limescale builds up when water is heated. It narrows the diameter of the pipes, which lengthens heating times and increases power consumption, and can even lead to a complete machine breakdown. Limescale also affects the taste of coffee. In small quantities, it is an important flavor enhancer. However, a high limescale content in water gives it an unpleasant aftertaste and thus prevents, also due to temperature variations, the optimal development of the coffee's aromas.
