JURA'S COLD EXTRACTION INNOVATION
BUT WHAT IS COLD BREW?
It's a coffee extraction method that differs from traditional hot brewing. Unlike iced coffee, which uses hot water to extract aromas and flavors, JURA uses fresh water pulsed at high pressure through a coffee grind, typically coarser than for hot preparations. This type of brewing offers several advantages. Indeed, it highlights the fruit aromas without overwhelming them with bitter notes.
WHICH JURA MACHINES COMBINE THE TECHNOLOGIES CAPABLE OF OFFERING COLD BREW BEVERAGES?
Only state-of-the-art machines are capable of offering cold brew preparations, such as the Z10 or the GIGA 10.
These machines feature the Cold Extraction Process corresponding to the process described in the previous paragraph, allowing for a whole range of Cold Brew beverages. This new feature in the coffee world is not exclusively due to the Cold Extraction Process, but also to the Product Recognising Grinder (P.R.G.), which recognizes the selected specialty and precisely adjusts the grind fineness in record time. As previously specified, the coffee grind is coarser for cold brew preparations to extract perfectly balanced aromas.
JURA could have stopped there in terms of innovations on these machines. But to perfect everything and offer excellence to its customers, the Swiss brand uses a third key point: 3D percolation technology, 8th generation. This allows water to flow evenly on several levels through the coffee powder.
It is therefore the combination of these three technologies, Cold Extraction Process, Product Recognising Grinder, and the 8th generation brewing unit, that has allowed JURA to stand out from its competitors by offering a range of fresh preparations, and thus opening up a whole parallel universe of coffee pleasure.
