THE BOOK CAFE TO DISCOVER
The book CAFÉ, LE CONNAITRE, LE CUISINER, L’APPRÉCIER (COFFEE, TO KNOW IT, TO COOK IT, TO APPRECIATE IT), a book co-written by Didier Reolon, the late general manager of Édika, and Kareen Grondin, a luminary in the Quebec culinary world. Two great friends, coffee lovers, who decided to create more than just a book... a moment to share, a unifying vision, a moment of poetry.
"It was an opportunity to touch people's hearts."
To develop gourmet and original recipes that include coffee as a full-fledged ingredient. That was the ambition of Kareen and Didier, who also wanted to share their knowledge of coffee and its roasting process to offer something different. Sweet and savory recipes to awaken your taste buds and provide unique culinary experiences, far from the classics.
The book, a means of communication linking passion, expertise, and closeness. "It's an excellent medium for getting into people's intimacy."
Kareen, in turn, told us about the birth of this beautiful project, but also its construction around a unique and complex product. "[Coffee], never to go, it's a moment I want to create."
Friends who complemented each other wonderfully, or when expertise meets creativity to create unique moments. "We know how much coffee can create those moments." To discover, the cross-interview of Kareen and Didier where their shared passion intertwined with their friendly complicity.
A final word for our protagonists:
"We feel the closeness, the friendship, the passion, it has exactly all the ingredients we wanted to deliver."
"Taking the time in the morning to sit together and have a good coffee."
