THE DIRTY CHAI

Adding coffee to this classic blend of spiced tea is as surprising as it is delicious. Certain teas pair particularly well with coffee when they are rich in flavor and texture.

Ingredients : makes approximately 1 serving
125 ml (1⁄2 cup) brewed black tea, hot
1 espresso shot (35–45 ml), hot
2 tablespoons spiced honey syrup (recipe below)
125 ml (1⁄2 cup) milk, frothed and hot
1 pinch ground cardamom or cinnamon

Steps in the recipe

In a mug, mix together the tea, coffee, and honey syrup.
Top with foamed milk and sprinkle with a pinch of spice.

HONEY AND SPICE SYRUP

Once you've tried this honey syrup, feel free to double the amount of spices to make a version that will sweeten your coffee less, or vary the spices to suit your taste.

Ingredients | For approximately 125 ml (1⁄2 cup)

125 ml (1⁄2 cup) honey
2 tablespoons water
1⁄4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
1⁄4 teaspoon ground allspice
1⁄2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Steps in the recipe

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat all ingredients until boiling.
Remove from heat and let cool.

This syrup can be stored for several weeks in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.

Espresso Martini



ESPRESSO MARTINI

A timeless classic, always ready to enjoy your favorite coffee beans.

Ingredients | for 1 cocktail

1 espresso (35 ml), warmed
15 ml (1⁄2 oz) coffee liqueur
15 ml (1⁄2 oz) cane syrup
45 ml (11⁄2 oz) vodka

Steps in the recipe

In a shaker filled with ice cubes, vigorously shake the coffee with the liqueur, syrup, and vodka.
Strain directly over the coffee ice cube into a well-chilled martini glass.
